Rearranging current names
Some people like their names but want to arrange them in a different order. This could be because of pronunciation and spelling difficulties or simply due to personal preference.
For example, a surname and a middle name could change places in order for somebody to have a preferred surname, without losing the original one altogether. Likewise one can rearrange one's forenames in whatever way is desired. It is also possible to simply alter the spelling of current names.
In order to make any of these changes official a Deed Poll must be applied for. Upon receiving the Deed Poll document it must be signed, dated and this signing must be witnessed. Once complete, the Deed Poll, or certified copies of the document, can be sent out to relevant departments so that their records can be updated to show the new name.
