To change your name you must first apply for a document called a Deed Poll.  Your Deed Poll will provide you with the documentary evidence that you need to show the relevant authorities that you have legally changed your name.  You will then be able to get all your records updated and have documents such as your passport reissued to show your new name.

Your Deed Poll pack will contain the following:

  • Your personalised Deed Poll document.

  • A guide on how to sign and witness your Deed Poll correctly.

  • An example covering letter for informing the relevant authorities of your name change.

  • A suggested list of government departments, companies and organisations who you will need to notify of your change of name along with instructions as to what you need to do for each.

  • An order form for our legal copy and archive service.

All documents are prepared and dispatched within one working day so you will receive your Deed Poll pack in the post within three working days.
